Risograph Poster Design Workshops

A brand new style of workshop where we create a poster or art print with the risograph machine. It is similar in format to our Introduction To Risograph Zine-Making workshops, we recommend taking one of those classes before the poster class to give you a good foundation in how the machine operates. As with the zine-making workshop you will be taking 20 copies of your poster home with you, but unlike the zine-workshop we are working on one large print only! This means we can play around a bit more with how the machine works. Advantages to the Poster workshop include:

1. You can print in up to THREE colours from our standard range of black, red, fluro-pink, blue and sunflower.

2. Instead of using our standard range of colours we can guide you in how to print with metallic gold on our 170gsm context slate (practically black) paper.

3. You have the option of using our computer to put together images to be sent to the machine - so you can bring us files on a USB key. Your files should be grayscale and 300dpi, and we will be designing a poster that is 420mm by 297mm.

4. Whereas for the zine workshop we allow up to 2 hours to complete, the poster workshop can take up to 3 hours.

5. We limit spaces to just two people per workshop so I can give you more attention and there's less competition for resources like stamps, typewriters etc!
